Tippi Degré

Tippi Degré (full name Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré, born June 4, 1990 in Windhoek, Namibia ) is a French author who became famous due to their picture book from Africa Tippi documented childhood in southern Africa. In this picture book photographed by Degrés parental images were printed showing Degré in close contact with various African animals. Through these recordings they reached as " The girl who talks to the animals " media attention.

Life

Degrés parents Sylvie Robert and Alain Degré went in the 1980s to Africa to work as a freelance nature photographer, specializing in the life of meerkats, with which they " lived together " for some time. Just a few months was as Degré old, the parents took her on a photo safari and documented the meeting of her daughter with African animals photographed. Degré grew in close contact with the children of the San, whose language and survival skills she learned. In addition, they lived in close contact with several animals, including an elephant, a leopard, a lion, a baboon and a bouquet.

Degré says of herself that she could communicate with the animals.

For most of her childhood spent Degré in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and then also in Madagascar. Some of them went to school in Paris, later she was informed on the travel distance education from her mother or private teachers.

Today she lives in Paris and studied at the University of Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle film studies. She was involved in a series of six documentaries on Africa of the Discovery Channel.
