Tiran Porter

Tiran Porter ( born September 26, 1948) is a rock singer and bassist, best known as a member of the Doobie Brothers in the first place.

Biography

Porter came in 1971 to the Doobies, as a replacement for Dave Shogren, who had recently dropped out. He made his debut then the next year on Toulouse Street and then remained for a number of other albums until they disbanded in 1982. Yet in 1986 he was at the reunion there again. In 1995 the album Porter's solo debut to Playing to Empty House on Thunderbird, shortly followed by Themes One.
