Tirfi Tsegaye

Tirfi Tsegaye (born 25 November 1984) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road races.

In 2008 she won the Porto Marathon in 2:35:31 h

The following year she was second in the Turin Marathon, sixth at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham and second at the Shanghai Marathon.

In 2010 she was second in the Paris Half Marathon, third at the Paris Marathon and each second in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon and the Shanghai Marathon, 2011 Eleventh Boston Marathon and again second in Shanghai.

2012 followed a third place at Roma - Ostia a course record at the Paris Marathon.

2013 she won the Boston Marathon with a time of 2:28:09 h in fifth place.
