Tirtagangga

Taman Tirtagangga ( " holy water from the Ganges ") is the Water Palace of Karangasem north of Amlapura in Bali. The last Raja Anak Agung Ketut Karangasem Karangasem Anglurah built himself this second palace in 1946. The plant was destroyed in 1963 during the eruption of Agung volcano and then rebuilt. Today, the farm is open for tourists.

Plant

Tirtagangga is approximately 1.2 ha in size, built on three levels and consists of many pools, ponds with lotus flowers and fish such as Koi, fountains, a swimming pool and residential complexes. In the center of the complex stands a pagoda- shaped elfteiliger Nawa Sanga fountain and numerous stone statues are erected in the garden. The water comes from the sacred sources above the former palace and fills the ponds, pools and the swimming pool, which is open to visitors today as well.
