Tissa, Germany

Tissa is a municipality in the north of the Thuringian Saale- wood - country circuit and part of the joint management hills / valleys. Besides the village of Tissa also the hamlet Ulrichswalde belongs to the municipality.

Location

Tissa is located south of Stadtroda in the hill country of the Saale- Ilm- plate on lighter soils. The federal highways 9 and 4, and the station in Stadtroda are easily accessible.

History

The place was first mentioned on December 24, 1358. The farmers of the village, which belonged to the GDR to the Soviet occupation zone and from 1949 from 1945 from 1952 had accordingly also the path of collectivization of their farms going. After the turn of a farmer operates an eco - farm and other dairy industry. In the resort there are well-preserved and restored half-timbered buildings.
