The sinking of the Titanic (Original Title: Titanic ) is an American film director Jean Negulesco Drama of from 1953 with Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Wagner in the lead roles. The film tells the story of the sinking of the British luxury liner RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912. In the foreground, however, the story is about the marriage problems of the fictitious family Sturges.
Action
Julia Sturges, in their marriage, it is no longer true for a long time, wants to leave her husband Richard. Therefore, they embark together with her daughter Annette and her son Norman on the Titanic, whose maiden voyage to New York City is imminent. Richard can join him and her at the last moment purchase from a poor immigrant family a ticket for the Titanic. Although Julia and Richard during the voyage trying to downplay their marital problems before the children, the situation is escalating more and more.
