Titao

Titao is a city ( commune urbaine ) and a comprehensive department of the same territory in the West African state of Burkina Faso, located in the Northern Region and capital of the province Loroum. The population in the capital and the 39 surrounding villages is 66 379 ( 2006 census ). The city is divided into seven sectors, was established around the beginning of the 18th century.

The inhabitants, called Titaolais, are predominantly Muslim.
