Tito Rojas

Tito Rojas ( born June 14, 1955 in Humacao, Puerto Rico), also known as " El Gallo Salsero " is a Puerto Rican salsa musician and bandleader.

Life

Tito Rojas was born in the city of Humacao on the East Coast of Puerto Rico. Here he completed his schooling and sang first in his family and with friends the latest salsa hits of his time. In 1975, he joined as the singer of Pedro Conga & Orquesta Internacional, which also came from his hometown. After he left the band and played together with the singer Justo Betancourt and the group " Conjunto Borincuba ". In 1978, her song " Con Amor" a big hit in Puerto Rico. In the same year Rojas joined the famous Combo Fania All-Stars and was instrumental in their hit song " El Campesino ". Shortly thereafter, Rojas decided to form his own band, to establish the " Conjunto Borincano ", with whom he had only moderate success. Only after joining the group, Puerto Rican Power, he could celebrate with the song " Noche de bodas " and " Quiereme como soy" the first successes.

In 1990 he became a solo artist and brought the LPs " Conde Name" ( 1990) and " A mi estilo " (1994) on the market. In 1995, he reached a place in the hit list of the Latin Billboards with "Por derecho proprio ". Other hits were 1996 " Humildemente " and " Pa'l Pueblo ", and in 1999 " 20th Aniversario ", " Alegria y Penas " and " Navidad con Tito". In 2002, he brought a live album titled "Live from Las Vegas " out and 2007 " Sin Comentarios ".
