Geographical Location

Tittling forms the heart of the Three Burgenland and is located in the region between the Danube Forest Passau (23 km ) and the Bavarian Forest National Park. The municipal area extends to a height of 400 to 600 meters west of the Ilz (river), one of the last wild rivers in Bavaria. The place is known for its quarries where the granite is mined Tittlinger. History

1155 sure is a noble residence documented the place. The market Tittling now in the district of Lower Bavaria belonged to the Counts of Taufkirchen until bought it in 1290 the Bavarian duke.
