TITUS (project)

The thesaurus Indo-European text and speech materials ( TITUS ) is an international scientific project for coordinated acquisition of relevant original texts ancestral Indo-European languages ​​, which is supported by the following institutions:

  • Institute for Empirical Research in Linguistics of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main,
  • Ústav starého Predního východu the Charles University, Prague,
  • Almen og Anvendt Sprogvidenskab the University of Copenhagen and the
  • Departamento de Filología Clasica y Románica ( Filología Griega ) of the Universidad de Oviedo, Spain.

Current project is Jost Gippert (Frankfurt am Main).

The project was launched in 1987 " Indo- text materials on media thesaurus " into existence under the name. Together with an expansion of the original objective in 1990 was renamed to the current project name. Since 1995, the texts of the project partially on the internet are available. Texts being still in progress are available only for project members.
