Geography
The municipality of Titz is the Jülich flare. To the south, the Sophienhoehe. To the east and northeast of the municipality is the lignite mining Garzweiler.

History
Incorporations
On 1 July 1969, the former municipalities Gevelsdorf, Hasselsweiler and Muntz were incorporated. On January 1, 1972, added Rödingen. From the dissolved municipality Garzweiler Titz were assigned 4.80 km ² with a population of 763 at that time.
