Tiya is a town in central Ethiopia south of Addis Ababa near Melka Awash and the Hare Shetan crater lake. It lies in the field of Soddo - Gurage in the Sodo Woreda in the Gurage Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region.

In Tiya, the most important of the 160 previously discovered archaeological sites located in Soddo area. The site consists of 36 individual monuments, of which 32 are covered with symbols of an ancient Ethiopian culture stone steles. Since 1980 she is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
