Tjan (queen)
Tjan was the wife of the ancient Egyptian king Sobekhotep IV ( about 1700 BC ) of the 13th dynasty. It is known only from three objects and bore the title " king consort ". On the fragments of a chest it is called mother of Prince Amenhotep, there appears the name of her royal husband. Her daughter Nebetiunet, referred to as born of Tjan appears on a vase. Next it is called on a pearl. From King Sobekhotep IV are known to have more children. It is uncertain whether Tjan was their mother, or whether there was another queen, which previously could not be identified.
