Tlmače

Tlmače ( until 1927 slovak also " Tlmač "; Hungarian Garamtolmács - to 1902 Tolmács ) is a town in central Slovakia.

It was first mentioned in writing in 1075 as Talmach and consists of the parts Lipník and Tlmače.

On 1 January 1986 the city was awarded the status of a city.
