Tmolus

Tmolos ( Τμῶλος ), Latinized Tmolus, also Timolus, a mountain god of Greek mythology, the personification of the eponymous mountain range is in Lydia (now Boz Dagi ).

Tmolos deemed to be the husband of Omphale, and begat with the nymph Pluto the Tantalus.

In Ovid's Metamorphoses he appears as a referee in the musical contest between Phoebus Apollo and Pan.

Strabo ( † after 23 AD ) mentions it as the first king of Lydia.
