Tnjri

The Tndschri (Armenian Տնջրի / təndʒəri / ) is a 2033 years old gigantic plane tree that near the village Suchtoraschen in the province of Martuni the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is located ( Artsakh ). The cave of the tree is 44 square meters, in which more than 100 people can stand. The area, which covers the foliage of the tree is 1,400 m².

The circumference of the tree is 27 meters and the height is more than 54 meters - equivalent to a 18 storey building. The tree is located in a valley, which itself is not far from the village, and is close to a natural water source, which is the main source of irrigation for the tree.

Every year thousands of pilgrims visit and tourists visiting Artsakh, even the Tnjri chinar ( platanus on Eastern Armenian ) tree.
