TNK-BP

TNK -BP Ltd.. is a Russian company with headquarters in Moscow. The company was founded in 2003 in the British Virgin Islands from a collaboration between the company British Petroleum ( BP), Access / Renova Group and Alfa Group.

The company employs around 71,000 staff in 2006 and operates mainly in Russia. TNK -BP promotes and delivers crude oil and natural gas to its customers.

In July 2008, fled the company boss Bob Dudley from Russia. The company accused the Russian government of the state bureaucracy with massive harassment.

Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder was appointed in January 2009 as one of three independent members of the Supervisory Board.

On October 22, 2012 Rosneft announced that it will take over TNK -BP. From BP to acquire a 50 percent share for around 28 billion U.S. dollars. BP receives 17 billion dollars in cash and will be involved with almost 20 % of Rosneft. Furthermore, said Rosneft, the AAR also abzukaufen its 50 percent stake in the joint venture. AAR receives as BP for its share of around 28 billion U.S. dollars.
