TNT (Russian TV channel)

TNT (Russian / Cyrillic: ТНТ ) is a private television channel in Russia.

History

TNT was founded in 1998 in Vladimir Gusinsky's Media-Most group as a channel for a younger target group. The program was created apolitical and entertaining from the beginning. TNT is based in Moscow and is part of the media group Gazprom Media within the Russian gas company Gazprom.

Market share

TNT is one of today's most popular TV channels in Russia. In the nationwide audience share TNT is 7% in fourth place behind the three largest government and private channels Perwy channel, Rossiya 1 and NTV. (November 2013)

Program

TNT sends for a full program with an emphasis on entertainment programs such as comedy, daily soaps and reality shows.

Since December 2008, TNT will be sent throughout the day.
