Tobia Aun

Tobia Aun (* in Lebanon; † after 1870) was the first Archbishop of the Maronite archeparchy Beirut.

Life

On March 19, 1841 Tobia Aun was ordained a bishop. The appointment as Archbishop of Beirut took place in 1844. On February 9, 1845 was the solemn inauguration. Tobia Aun became the first Archbishop of the archeparchy Beirut.

Church History took Tobia Aun as a Council Father at Vatican I, which lasted from December 8, 1869 to October 20, 1870 in part.
