Tobias Bogner

Tobias Bogner (born 28 May 1990 in Sonthofen ) is a German ski jumper and lives in Schoenau am Koenigssee.

Career

In the years 2001 and 2002 Bogner, who already started 5 years ago with the ski jumping, the German students Championship won. At the Junior World Championship 2004 in Stryn, he won the bronze medal with the team. Shortly thereafter, he became German youth champion. In the same year he won the overall title in Alpine Cup in singles and with the team. He repeated this success 2005. 2005 he also won the Germany Cup in the age group J16. In 2006, he won the Germany Cup. The OPA games 2006, he reached the third place in the individual and the 2nd place with the team. In the same year he was awarded the German team champion. In the individual competition he finished in 5th place. On 11 February 2007, he started in Willingen first time in World Cup Ski Jumping competition in the team and could therefore jump with the German team to 3rd place and on the podium. Subsequently, he was nominated for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo, reaching there in the team competition the 5th Place. For the 2007 /08 season, he raced in the ski jumping Continental Cup. On 19 August 2007, he reached the summer competitions in Lillehammer his first podium finish in this competition. On 8 February 2008 Bogner qualified in Liberec for the first time for a single World Cup competition and missed with rank 33 just under the second round. In the Four Hills Tournament 2008/ 09 he came by good results at the end on the 43rd place in the overall standings. At the Junior World Championship 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he again won silver with the team. In 2010, at the Junior World Championships in Hinterzarten he succeeded. On 3 February 2010 Bogner reached in the course of the FIS Team Tour 2010 for the first time in his career the 2nd round and won with it at the end as 30 his first World Cup point.
