Tobias Lindner

Tobias Lindner ( born January 11, 1982 in Karlsruhe) is a German economist and politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens ).

Life and career

After graduating from the Europa- Gymnasium in Wörth am Rhein Lindner did his community service at the State Institute for Environmental Protection Baden -Württemberg in Karlsruhe and studied from 2002 to 2007 at the University of Karlsruhe Technical Economics. Since 2007 he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Economic Theory of the Institute of Economic Theory and Statistics and in 2011 Dr. rer. pol. doctorate. Lindner lives in Wörth am Rhein.

In the winter semester 2013/2014 he was a lecturer of the seminar " concepts of economic theory and its application to economic policy decisions " at the Chair of Economic Theory at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

Policy

Tobias Lindner is since 1998 a member of the Alliance 90/The Greens in 1999 and joined the Young Greens at. In 2000 he was elected spokesman for the National Council of the Young Greens of Rhineland-Palatinate and took over from 2002 to 2004 the office of the assessor, the board of the District Association Germersheim. Since November 2004, Lindner leads the district association Germersheim and the Stadtverband his hometown Worth and had erected in 2005 and 2009 as a direct candidate for the German Bundestag. In January 2007, he joined as a member in the council of the district of Germersheim, where he worked until July 2011. From 2009 to June 2011 was a member of the City Council Lindner Wörth am Rhein, as well as chairman of the district council faction.

In June 2011, Lindner moved for Ulrike Höfken after as a member of the German parliament over the national list of Rhineland- Palatinate. Since then, Lindner was a member of the Budget Committee and Audit Committee and alternate member of the Defence Committee in the 17th electoral term. On March 27, 2012 Lindner was elected spokesman for economic policy of the Alliance 90/The Greens parliamentary group and was henceforth a member of the Committee on Economics and Technology. Furthermore, he assumed the post of deputy chairman of the German -Irish Parliamentary Friendship Group and Deputy Chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate state of the Green Party parliamentary deputies. On 1 December 2012 Lindner was elected to the national assembly of delegates of his party in second place of the national list for the federal election of 2013. In September 2013 he was finally elected to the new parliament again on the national list.

In the 18th legislature of the German Bundestag is Lindner chairman of the parliamentary group Alliance 90/The Greens in the Budget Committee, member of the Defence Committee and the Audit Committee. He is also a deputy member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. In the Rhineland-Palatinate state of the Green Party Bundestag member, he is also vice-chairman.
