Točník Castle

The castle is located in Tocnik Tocnik in Okres Beroun in the Czech Republic.

The castle was built by King Wenceslas IV as a castle and personal official and private residence in the late 14th century in the immediate vicinity of the castle Žebrák. The first written record dates from 1398. 1421 the castle was pledged. Between 1434 and 1543 it was rebuilt under the Lords of Wartenberg in the Renaissance style, later translated the Lords of Lobkowicz this construction work continued. George Popel of Lobkowicz lost in 1593 because of a plot against the Emperor Rudolf II all goods. 1594 confiscated Tocnik rule was combined with the dominions Zbiroh and royal court to a Kameralherrschaft whose captain had his seat in Zbiroh castle. After the Thirty Years' War decayed parts of the castle.

The system consists of three parts with living hall and a further Palas building, which is equipped with a 34 × 9 meters wide, probably to diplomatic purposes were assigned room. The plant is an example pronounced Bohemian castle architecture of the 14th century, where, due to quiet conditions particular attention was paid to the quality of living.
