The tocuyo is a river in northwestern Venezuela. It is 440 km long. The origin of the Tocuyos is located in the mountains of the Andes at 3652 MüdMS, when Cendé Mountains. It crosses the state of Lara from south to north and forms part of the border between the states of Lara and Falcón. South of Churuguara he begins to flow toward the northeast, through a very fertile valley. The tocuyo empties into the Caribbean, 3 km from El tocuyo de la Costa, the Golfo Triste.
