Todd Pearson

Robert Todd Pearson ( born November 11, 1977 in Geraldton, Western Australia ) is an Australian swimmer who specializes in freestyle location.

He grew up in Perth, where he started on the advice of a physician with the swimming, because he suffered from asthma.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney Pearson won the gold medal in the 4x200 m freestyle relay. He also competed for the Australian 4x100m freestyle relay in the flow.

At the 2001 World Championships he won the gold medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay. In addition, he still won at Short Course World Championships two more gold medals: 1999 in Hong Kong with the 4x100 -meter freestyle relay and 2002 in Moscow with the 4x200 -meter freestyle relay.

At the Olympics 2004 he was again sixth in the 4x100 -meter freestyle relay. After this event, he stepped back from swimming.

Today Pearson lives in Austin, Texas, USA, he is married and has a son.
