Todesfelde

Todesfelde is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. Voßhöhlen situated in the municipality.

History

The place was originally called Odesfelde, which probably means, for the Ode field.

The Church in Todesfelde was built in 1899.

During archaeological excavations in the course of the extension of the federal highway 20 was 2012/13 found traces of settlements of the Bronze Age and the Pre-Roman Iron Age in the range of Todesfelde, including a burial ground with 150 cremation burials of the Bronze Age. Main finding was the death fields urn, which is dated to 500 BC.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU and the ABT ( Active Citizens Todesfelde ) have since the local elections in 2013 four seats and the voter community AKPV has three seats.
