Toei Company

Toei K. K. (Japanese东.映 株式会社, Toei Kabushiki - gaisha, Eng. Toei Company, Ltd. ) is listed in the Nikkei 500 Japanese film and television production company that is also active in film distribution. The name is derived from Toei Tōkyō Eiga Haikyū (东京 映 画 配给, "Film Rental Tokyo " ), the former name of the company.

Toei based in Tokyo, Japan operates in 34 cinemas and two film studios in Tokyo and Kyoto and is a shareholder of several television channels. Outside Japan, the company is primarily known for the anime produced by Toei Animation.
