Tof Thissen

Tof Thissen ( born May 19, 1957 in Roermond ) is a Dutch politician of the party Groen Links.

Life

From 1976 to 1977, Thissen member of Partij van de Arbeid. 1977 Thissen moved to Pacifistisch Socialist Party and became active in the peace movement in the Netherlands. From 1977 to 1982 Thissen studied theology at the Higher School of Theology and Pastorate in Heerlen. In addition, he worked from 1986 to 2002 in the City Council of Roermond. From 1987 to 1990 Thissen studied theology at the Radboud University Nijmegen. Since 1989, Thissen is a member of the party Groen Links. Thissen is the director of the Kwaliteitsinstituut Nederlandse Gemeenten ( KING ) tätig.Thissen is since October 2004 Senator in the First Chamber of the States General, and at the same time since 2007 leader of the Groen Links in the First Chamber of the States General.
