Togiak River

The Togiak River is a 77 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in southwest Alaska.

It rises west of the Wood River Mountains in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge Togiak from the Lake, flows südsüdwestwärts and flows into the Togiak Togiak Bay, a secondary bay of Bristol Bay.

The designation of Alaska Natives for the river was documented in 1852 by Captain Mikhail Tebenkov of the Imperial Russian Army as " R ( eka ) Tugiyak ". Today's notation used for the first time Ivan Petroff in a census in 1880.
