Tojolabal ( Tojolab'al, Tojolwinik otik ) is an indigenous language in Mexico, with about 45,000 speakers.
Name
The name of the language, Tojol ab'al, means " original language " or " true language ".
Classification
Tojolabal one of the Mayan languages and is closely related to the Chuj language.
Dissemination
The language is spoken according to the census of 2010 of 54 201 people in the Mexican state of Chiapas in the municipios Las Margaritas and Comitán.
