Tawkar (Arabic طوكر; alternative spelling Tokar ) is a city in Sudan in the state of al -Bahr al - ahmar. It is located near the coast to the Red Sea at Barka in the so-called Tokardelta.

History

The city came during the Mahdi uprising on meaning, as it became the scene of several battles.
