Tokugawa Ieyoshi

Tokugawa Ieyoshi (Japanese徳 川 家 庆; born June 22, 1793July 27, 1853 ) was from 1837 until his death in the twelfth Shogun Japanese Tokugawa dynasty.

He was the second son of the eleventh Tokugawa shogun Tokugawa Ienari. During his reign, Mizuno Tadakuni was entrusted with the implementation of the Tenpō reforms.

In the end of the reign Ieyoshis the arrival of the fleet of Matthew Perry was in the Bay of Tokyo ( Edo ). This Black Ships should the opening of Japan to the West force, which it did with the conclusion of the Convention of Kanagawa under Ieyoshis successor, his brother Tokugawa Iesada.
