The Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japanese东京 工科 大学, Tōkyō Kōka daigaku, English Tokyo University of Technology, in short. TUT) is a private university in Hachioji.

The origin of the university has in the May 1947 by Kō Katayanagi founded Sobi Gakuen (创 美 学园) that specialize in painting and tailoring. With the onset of Japanese television in 1953 was the shift to training for television technology. 1986 he was appointed to the university with three faculties of electrical engineering, computer science and machine control.
