Tolland County is a county located in the state of Connecticut in the United States with 136,364 inhabitants. The largest city of the county is Vernon. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Tolland.

Geography

The county has an area of ​​1080 square kilometers, of which 18 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Hartford County, New London County, Windham County, and Hampden County, and Worcester County ( Massachusetts).

History

Tolland County was formed in 1785 from parts of Hartford County and Windham County.
