Tolna County (former)

The Tolna ( German also Tolna county; Hungarian Tolna Vármegye, Latin comitatus Tolnensis ) was a historic administrative unit ( county / county) in the Kingdom of Hungary.

The area lies in present-day central Hungary on the face of today's Tolna county.

Location

The county bordered on the counties Somogy, Veszprém ( Veszprém ), White Castle ( Fejér ), Pest - Pilis - Solt -Kiskun and Baranya. Its southern border of the Danube formed.

History

The county was created in the 11th century and was in this form to large Komitatsreform 1950. Refer further to under Tolna county.
