Tom Aage Aarnes

Tom Aage Aarnes ( born January 25, 1977 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Aarnes jumped from 1996 in the Continental Cup (COC ). Because of its good services at the beginning of the 1997/98 season he was first nominated for the 1998 World Cup Ski Jumping. His first jump in the A national team, he played on 17 January 1998 at Zakopane. He missed with space 32 the points just barely. In Continental Cup he finished the 1997/98 season in 8th place in the overall standings. At his first competition in the World Cup season 1998/ 99 in Lillehammer, he won with space 23 for the first and last time World Cup points. At the end of the season he was thus at the 84th place in the overall World Cup standings.

2002 Aarnes tested positive for amphetamine at a doping control and received a two year ban. In 2005 he started again at two competitions in Lillehammer, but finished after this his active ski jumping career.
