Tom Cain (author)

David Thomas (* 1959 in Moscow ) is a British journalist and writer who is known in German-speaking countries, especially by his pseudonym Tom Cain.

Life

David Thomas grew up in Kent in Maidstone. He spent his first three years of life, however, in Moscow, as his father David Churchill Thomas diplomat was. Due to the work of the father's family was also in Cuba and three years in Washington, DC From 1977 he studied at the University of Cambridge, where he made his statements.

Since then he has worked as a freelance journalist for many popular newspapers and magazines in Britain and the United States. As an investigative journalist he reported on financial scandals on Wall Street, intrigues in Hollywood and corrupt athletes in the UK. For his work he received several awards.

From 1989 to 1992 he was editor of the British satirical magazine Punch.

Under his pseudonym Tom Cain, he has been writing since 2007 thriller in which he partially combines real events, such as the death of Princess Diana, with a fictional plot. In previously published under Tom Cain books are about the fictional secret agent Samuel Carver.

In 2011 he published his first thriller, Blood Relative under his own name.
