Tom Hagedorn

Thomas Michael " Tom" Hagedorn ( born November 27, 1943 in Blue Earth, Minnesota ) is an American politician. Between 1975 and 1983 he represented the state of Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Tom Hagedorn attended until 1961, the Blue Earth High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. After his military service he worked as a farmer in Watonwan County. He specialized in the cultivation and animal husbandry. Politically, Hagedorn joined the Republican Party. Between 1971 and 1975 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Minnesota. In the years 1968 and 1972 he was a delegate to regional Republican party days in Minnesota. 1976 and 1980 he was a delegate to the Republican National Conventions in part, on which were Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan later nominated as a presidential candidate.

In the congressional elections of 1974, Hagedorn was in the second electoral district of Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected. There he entered on January 3, 1975 to succeed Ancher Nelsen. After three re- elections, he was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 1983 four related legislative periods. Before the elections of 1982 he was not nominated by his party. His mandate was to Vin Weber. After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, Tom Hagedorn President of the Premium Companies. He now lives in Alexandria ( Virginia).
