Tom Hitchcock

Thomas Joseph Hitchcock (born 1 October 1992 in Hemel Hempstead ) is an English footballer. He is currently the English second division side Queens Park Rangers under contract. It is used in the position of striker.

Career

Hitchcock already joined the youth academy of the Premier League representative Blackburn Rovers at the age of twelve years. His personal relation to the Rovers was formed by his father Kevin Hitcock, who worked as a goalkeeper coach in Blackburn after his active career goalkeeper, he spent among others at Chelsea. In the 2009/10 season, he was first employed in the reserve team, where he obtained his first goal in four operations.

After he was able to earn a regular place in the second team of Blackburn Rovers, the fourth division Plymouth Argyle became aware of him in the summer of 2011, and granted him to participate in the pre-season. In a friendly against Bristol City, he was employed directly and scored a goal. Subsequently, an agreement was reached with the Rovers on a temporary three months lending. His debut in professional football was Hitchcock 6 August 2011 in a 1-1 draw against Shrewsbury Town.

Overall, he came in his time in Plymouth ten missions in which, however, he scored a goal. As a result, his end of October 2011 expiring contract of loan was not renewed, so he returned to Blackburn Rovers. He is currently still does not in the first team squad.
