Tom Kennedy (American actor)

Tom Kennedy ( born July 15, 1885 in New York City, New York, USA, † October 6, 1965 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor. He was primarily known for his comedic roles.

Life

After he initially pursued a career as a boxer, Tom Kennedy stood in a long, 50-year film career in more than 300 film and television productions before the camera. In many of them, however, in smaller supporting roles. His film career began in 1915 with a short silent comedy, His Luckless Love. Until shortly before his death from bone cancer Kennedy stood in front of the camera. His most notable roles he had in Hollywood comedies of the famous film producer Mack Sennett and Hal Roach. He played several times on the side of a prominent lead actor as Mabel Normand, WC Fields, Laurel and Hardy or the Marx Brothers.

His colleague and namesake Edgar Kennedy ( " Old Slow Burn ") was occasionally confused with Tom Kennedy, often mistakenly thought you both for brothers. The two comedians were close friends with no family ties. They often occurred together, presented sometimes in comedic fashion, the errors with respect to the alleged relationship properly.
