Tom King, Baron King of Bridgwater

Thomas Jeremy King, Baron King of Bridgwater CH, PC ( born June 13, 1933 Rugby) is a British politician of the Conservative Party.

Career

King belonged from 1970 to 2001 at the House of Commons for the District of Bridgwater. From January 6, 1983 to June 11, 1983, he was Minister for the Environment, from 11 June to 16 October of the same year, Transport Minister. From October 16 1983 to September 2, 1985, he was Secretary of State for Employment, September 3, 1985 to July 24, 1989 Northern Ireland Minister. 24 July 1989 to 11 April 1992, he was Secretary of Defense. 1994 to 2001 he was chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee. He was raised on 9 July 2001 For Life Peer.
