Tom Krause

Tom Gunnar Krause ( born July 5, 1934 in Helsinki, † December 6, 2013 in Hamburg) was a Finnish opera and lieder singers in professional bass-baritone.

Life

The son of an insurance director studied in Helsinki first medicine. From 1956 he studied singing in Hamburg and at the Vienna Music Academy. Krause was especially known for his interpretations of Mozart and his recitals. He has participated several times at the Bayreuth Festival and the Salzburg Festival.
