Tom Penny

Tom Penny ( born April 13, 1977 in Dorchester, Oxfordshire ) is a British skateboarder.

Life

Tom Penny began his career as a professional skater in the UK. His first sponsor was Sean Geoff, owner of SS20 skateshop in Oxford. Shortly thereafter, he became a member of the Death Box Skate Team, which later the company Flip Skateboards arose with Ian Deacon and Jeremy Fox, as well as a skateboard professionals Penny, Rune Glifberg, Geoff Rowley and Andy Scott in the team. Tom Penny was known for his participation in numerous skateboarding competitions, contests and entered the so-called 1993 etstmals in a video of the 411 Video Magazine in appearance.

In 1994, Flip Skateboards moved to Huntington Beach in California and Penny moved to the United States, where he was roommates by Chad Muska. The mid to late 1990s, began his contest winning streak. Penny defeated many prominent U.S. skaters at competitions, including Eric Koston, Andrew Reynolds, Ray Barbee, Bob Burnquist and Jamie Thomas. Halfpipe legend Tony Hawk is said to have its competitors in a contest; "If Tom Penny ever starts to skate full-time halfpipe, then we can all pack up. "

Penny lived for several years in Spain and France as well as in Buenos Aires, where he met his partner. He is currently sponsored beside Flip Skateboards and Supra Footwear.
