Tom Pyatt

Tom Pyatt (born 14 February 1987 in Thunder Bay, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2011 with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Tom Pyatt began his career as a hockey player with the Saginaw Spirit, for by 2007 he was active from 2003 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 in the fourth round as a total of 107 players from the New York Rangers. For their farm team Hartford Wolf Pack played the Center from 2007 to 2009 in the American Hockey League, where he parallel aground in the 2007/ 08 season 19 times for Hartford's partner Charlotte Checkers in the ECHL, scoring six goals and nine assists.

June 30, 2009 Pyatt was transferred along with Scott Gomez and Michael Busto in exchange for Christopher Higgins, Ryan McDonagh and Pavel Walentenko to Canadiens de Montréal. The 2009/10 season began the Canadians at Montreal's AHL farm team Hamilton Bulldogs. For this, he scored 13 goals in 41 games and were 22 templates, after which he was promoted by the Canadiens in their NHL team. By the end of the season he scored for Montreal in a total of 58 games four goals and five assists in the National Hockey League. In the 2010/11 season the two-time Junior World Champion played exclusively for the NHL team the Canadiens.

On July 6, 2011, he agreed on a Zweiwegvertrag for a year with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Internationally

For Canada Pyatt took at junior level at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2005 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2006 and 2007 in part. In the 2005 U18 World Cup he won with his team the silver medal in the two - U20 Junior World Championships he was with Canada each world champion.
