Tom Sietas

Tom Sietas ( born January 12, 1977 in Hamburg) is the most successful German freediver. He is a multiple world champion and German champion and realized countless world records in all three pool disciplines.

Tom Sietas is also famous worldwide for its spectacular television appearances. In these he demonstrates the most time diving under Voratmung of pure oxygen. In January 2006 he was able to improve the 47- year-old " record " in this show discipline. In a live television show in New York on 9 August 2007, he reached a new maximum time of 15 minutes and 2 seconds.

At a height of 1.93 m and 75 kg body weight Sietas achieved a vital capacity of 6.8 liters.
