Tom Zenk

Thomas Erwin " Tom" Zenk ( born November 30, 1958 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota ) is an American former pro-wrestler, the Z -Man is also known under the name The additive. He is also a former Mr. Minnesota in bodybuilding

Career

Early years

Zenk began in 1984 in the AWA, moving on to NWA. At the request of Rick Martel Zenk moved to Montreal to compete there for the International Wrestling Association ( IWA). Zenk and Martel were formed here for the Tag Team The Can -Am Connection, which also appeared in the WWF later.

Between 1987 and 1994 undertook Zenk nine tours of Japan, where he competed for both AJPW and NJPW.

World Wrestling Federation

Zenk and Martel came as Can-Am Connection to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1986. At WrestleMania III on March 29, 1987, she defeated the tag team of Don Muraco and Bob Orton, Jr.. This win should give them a push as a possible challenger to the Hart Foundation for the World Tag Team Championship. In early 1989, Zenk was back in the American Wrestling Association, where he participated in a battle royal for the vacant AWA World Heavyweight Title. There he was eliminated by Larry Zbyszko, who thus secured the title. After several title fights for the Awa- title Zenk went in 1989 to Jim Crockett Promotions (later renamed World Championship Wrestling ). Zenk made ​​his debut there as The Z-Man at the first Halloween Havoc. With Brian Pillman, he formed a tag team that could win the United States Tag Team Championship. They led at this time feuds against The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane ) and Fabulous Freebirds.

During this time Zenk drew for weight lifting to a muscle tear, which he had to pause several months. On his return, he was leaner and began a feud with Arn Anderson at the World Television Championship, which he could win. When the promotion changed its name in 1991 in World Championship Wrestling, Zenk was the last NWA World Television Champion and WCW at the same time for the first World Television Champion. Later that year, he feuded together with Dustin Rhodes and Big Josh against the York Foundation and the Fabulous Freebirds to the World Six -Man Tag Team Championship. Zenk, Rhodes and Josh were able to win the title in August of the Freebirds, but they had in October at the York Foundation ( the so that the last title holder were ) lose. Zenk left WCW in 1994 and finished his career in 1996.
