Tomasz Frankowski

Tomasz " Franek " Frankowski ( born August 16, 1974 in Białystok, Poland ) is a Polish footballer.

In Poland Tomasz Frankowski carries because of its graceful way of playing the nickname " Kotek ," which translates as kittens.

Association

He began his career at Jagiellonia Białystok, before moving to France in 1993 and played there for a total of four clubs. His greatest success at that time was the Intertoto Cup victory in 1995 with Racing Strasbourg.

After misunderstandings Frankowski was again only in Poland at Wisla Krakow for firm size. He won by Wisła Kraków five Polish Championships in the years 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005, two Polish Cups in 2002 and 2003, and 2001 League Cup. It was 1999, 2001 and 2005, the best striker, having been 173 games and 115 goals in the Ekstraklasa.

From 2005 he tried again abroad at clubs such as FC Elche and Wolverhampton Wanderers. But here too, Frankowski could not prevail, and so led his way to the second Spanish league to CD Tenerife. There, however, he could not convince also, and returned to Wolverhampton. Here, the contract was terminated in mutual agreement.

In February 2008, he signed a contract with the Chicago Fire SC and scored 2 goals in 17 games there. After being there seemed not to be happy, he returned to the winter break to Poland to his hometown club Jagiellonia Białystok back. There he signed a contract for 2 years. On his league debut for Bialystok against Arka Gdynia 28 February 2009 Frankowski scored two goals at cost directly. In his first season he won the Polish Cup Jagiellonia and the Polish Supercup. It is the only previous title of clubs from eastern Poland.

National

As a striker, he played for the Polish national team. Between 1999 and 2006, he scored a total of ten goals in his 22 missions.
