Tomasz Łuczak

Tomasz Luczak ( born March 13, 1963 in Poznań ) is a Polish mathematician.

Luczak studied at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, where he became a professor in the 1990s. He is also a professor at Emory University.

Luczak examined random discrete structures such as random graphs and their Färbezahlen and structures associated with these phase transitions. He also dealt with applications of graph theory in ecology.

In 1991 he received the Kuratowski price. In 1992 he was awarded the EMS price. In 2004 he was invited speaker at the 4th European Congress of Mathematicians (Phase Transition Phenomena in Random Discrete Structures ). In 2012 he gave a plenary lecture at the European Congress of Mathematicians (ECM ) in Krakow ( Threshold behavior of random discrete structures).
