Tomaž Čižman

Tomaž Čižman ( born January 13, 1965 in Ljubljana ) is a former alpine skier from Slovenia. As a member of the Yugoslavian national ski team, he was the late 1980s, a successful giant slalom skier in the ski world cup.

His biggest success in 1989 winning the bronze medal at the World Ski Championships in Vail, when he was struck in the super -G only by the Swiss Martin Hangl and Pirmin Zurbriggen. The year before, he had already occupied 9th place at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 in the Super -G.

His best finish in the World Cup was a 32nd place in the 1988/89 season. But in the World Cup he was in the giant slalom usually better on the road than in the super-G, because of its 10 top ten places he made nine in the giant slalom.
