Tommy Jakobsen

Tommy Jakobsen ( born December 10, 1970 in Oslo) is a Norwegian ice hockey defender who has a contract with Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen since 2009.

Career

Scandinavia

His professional career began in 1987 at Tommy Jakobsen his hometown club Furuset IF in Oslo. There, he competed in the Elite Series in 5 years 165 games in which he was able to achieve 13 goals and 16 assists. The greatest success with Furuset IF Jakobsen succeeded in the 1989/90 season when the team won the Norwegian championship. In Furuset the Norwegians belonged to the guide players and has been used since 1992 in the senior team.

After this great leap Jakobsen joined in the summer of 1992 by Furuset IF to Lillehammer. When Lillehammer IK played Jakobsen 2 years old and was in his second season as team captain again Norwegian champion. After the championship and participation in the Olympic Games in Lillehammer it moved Jakobsen back to his hometown of Oslo. However, he had only one season with the resident spectrum Flyers.

1995 Jakobsen got the offer for one of the most traditional European clubs to play. Therefore, he moved to the 1995/96 season to Djurgårdens IF Stockholm. However, in the strong Swedish league is Jakobsen was hard to right. In 36 games for Stockholm, the Norwegian recorded only one template.

Germany

So it fell Jakobsen not hard to announce the summer of 1996 his departure from Stockholm and to switch to the Bavarian Augsburg to playing there Augsburg Panthers. Germany should emerge for the Norwegian defender as a second home. A total of six years Jakobsen played for the Augsburger Panther until he joined the 2002/03 season moved to Dusseldorf to there for 4 years aground for the DEG Metro Stars.

In a total of 10 years in the DEL Jakobsen played 481 games. He scored 41 goals, prepared 123 hits before (164 points scorer ) and was serving 709 penalty minutes. His most successful season was finally his last in Germany. During the 2005/06 season Jakobsen won with the DEG Metro Stars of the German Ice Hockey Cup and the runner-up after three defeats in the play-off final series against the Polar Bears Berlin.

Austria and Norway

From the season 2006/ 07 Tommy Jakobsen ran on in the Austrian Bundesliga for the Graz 99ers. Even before the season, he was appointed by the then coach Mike Bullard to the Team Captain, and remained so under his successors. After the 99ers in the 2007/ 08 season, missed qualifying for the playoffs, Jakobsen changed on 31 January 2008 for the remainder of the season to Switzerland for SC Bern, where he got the last foreigner license. In March Jakobsen signed again with the 99ers. For the 2009/10 season Jakobsen returned to his home back to Norway and signed a contract with the Lørenskog IK, for which he has since then played in the GET ligaen. With the 2011/12 season was the climb to the captain of the team for Jakobsen; he also held in the following season this position.

Internationally

For Norway Jakobsen participated exclusively at the U20 World Youth Championship in 1990 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in the banns of his country at the B World Championships in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, and at the A World Championships in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010th he also ran for Norway at the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, 1994 Lillehammer and 2010 in Vancouver.
