Toney Mountain

East side

Toney Mountain is a 3,595 m high extinct shield volcano in Antarctica. The mountain is around 60 kilometers long and is located approximately 58 kilometers southwest of Kohler Range in Marie Byrd Land.

The highest peak of the volcano is named Richmond Peak. First sightings of the mountain to the year 1940 by Admiral Byrd back. He was captured in December 1957 by a cartographic expedition by Byrd station for Sentinel Range. It was named after George R. Toney, director of the Byrd Station in 1957.
